PDF Compressor with honest limits.

Drop a PDF. Get a smaller PDF back. Especially good for scanned documents. 100% in your browser — nothing uploaded, nothing tracked.

How this works (and what it trades off) This tool compresses PDFs by rasterizing each page — turning every page into a JPEG image and rebuilding the PDF. That means:
  • Excellent for scanned documents (typically 60–90% smaller)
  • Works on any PDF, including ones other tools choke on
  • 100% client-side: your file never leaves this tab
  • Text becomes unsearchable and uncopyable
  • Screen readers and text-to-speech stop working on the output
  • Not recommended for PDFs you'll edit further
  • File may actually grow on text-heavy born-digital PDFs
